MI-3915IH is a high grade Carbon Fiber Yarn Packing reinforced with Inconnel Wire inter braided around a homogenous Carbonaceous core enriched with natural graphite. The packing is impregnated with a custom made High Performance Graphite based lubricant and incorporates corrosion inhibitors to prevent pitting of the stems. This packing has high mechanical strength & dimensional stability, low coefficient of friction, heat resistance capability and excellent interness to chemicals. It can withstand higher temperature & pressure as compared to MI-3915.

Gland packing is a type of sealing material used to fill the space between a rotating shaft and a stationary housing or between two mating parts in a mechanical system. There are several types of Asbestos & Non Asbestos Gland Packings, including Pure PTFE Gland Packing, Pure PTFE Graphite Packing, Pure Aramid Packing, Aramid & PTFE Combination Packing, Aramid & PTFE Graphite Packing, Premium Expanded Graphite Packing, Ramie Fiber Packing etc.
To properly install gland packing in a sealing application, the packing should be lubricated and then carefully packed into the gland or seal housing. The gland should then be tightened to the appropriate torque to compress the packing and create a seal.
The main benefit of using gland packing in a sealing application is that it is a relatively simple and cost-effective way to create a seal. It is also relatively easy to install and maintain.
The choice of gland packing material can significantly affect the performance of the seal. Different materials have different properties and are suitable for different applications. For example, PTFE packing is resistant to chemicals, but for high temperatures, it may not be as durable as other materials.
